Meet the Team at Path Forward Consulting


The Path Forward Consulting team is comprised of experienced professionals with a wide range of skill sets who have worked in various industries, and bring our wealth of knowledge to every project we take on. Path Forward project consultants implement and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion using process identification to maximize productivity, quality, throughput, and consistency of specifications. Our project consultants build client relationships to develop future business opportunities and sustain client engagements while maintaining budgetary constraints, project team performance and superior customer service.

Trella Walker

Founding Consultant

Trella Walker is a nonprofit sector veteran with over twenty years of experience. She has worked in various fields, including the arts and entertainment, youth development, social services, education, healthcare, veteran affairs, and law. Trella is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and information with those committed to service and leadership.


Trella is a thought leader in the philanthropic space. In 2019, The Chronicle of Philanthropy published an article co-authored by Trella, her colleague, Claire Knowlton, and Fred Ali (CEO – Weingart Foundation) entitled "The Smartest Way to Promote Diversity: Pay for Overhead at Charities Led by People of Color."


Trella has spent her career promoting the arts and cultural equity. She has worked extensively with teams to increase access to the total cost of work and led national initiatives like the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation's Comprehensive Organizational Health Initiative (COHI) with the International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD). This work helps provide support and access to organizations that have traditionally been denied access. Additionally, Trella successfully runs Womankind Factor, an executive coaching firm formerly known as Trella Walker Consulting Coaching. 

Kayla Robinson

Administrative Consultant

Kayla Robinson serves PFC as a community engagement strategist with over ten years of experience working with communities of color across the country to advance racial equity. She has a unique ability to build consensus and expand community capacity, which allows her to outline a clear vision for the future. Kayla has spent her entire career connecting people with services, resources, and education to improve their lives. 


With a track record of success in recruiting, developing, retaining, and leading skilled teams of staff and volunteers, Kayla Robinson is an expert in overseeing program budgets and determining how to prioritize funds. Other skills include designing and implementing public engagement plans and launching strategies that have resulted in tangible benefits for her clients. Her clients include the African American Board Leadership Institute, TruGreen Inc, and Just in Time for Foster Youth.


Kayla is a powerful force for good and wants to leave the world better than she found it, and she knows that it starts with engaging people in meaningful dialogue about their shared future.

Bertha Osafo

Office Administrator

Bertha Osafo served PFC as an office administrator with over a decade of experience supporting C-suite executives in healthcare, education, beauty, and social service industries. She is a team-spirited, collaborative administrative professional who enjoys purposeful work that helps to build and move communities forward. 


Bertha's credentials include maximizing team productivity, team building, and leading teams to success as she implemented a pay-first protocol with an orthopedic department that progressed from a deficit to generating one million dollars in revenue within one year. Bertha's métier comprises maximizing productivity, payroll, budgeting, office, project, and media management, meeting and calendar coordination, HR compliance, data and market analysis, business planning, and implementing and finalizing strategic initiatives. 


Some of Bertha's initiatives encompass Crush Medical Debt, U.S. News and World Report, Pediatric Leadership Strategy, and Mount Sinai Kravis LEAD, in collaboration with Harvard Business School and Harvard Medical School. Bertha leads her career supporting women of color to fortify organizational success, create resources and opportunities for adolescents within urban communities and educate youth on financial literacy and business development.
